ACARS MOBILEOperating System: iOS
Communications: 3G, wi-fi
+ ARINC 620/633 messages
+ No heavy integration costs
This iPad application is intended for airlines that do not have ACARS on all their fleet but wish to have similar processes across all aircraft types for AOC usage.
The application behaves as an ACARS box over 3G or Wifi network, it sends ARINC 620 and ARINC 633 messages.
Uplinks such as weather data or freetext are displayed, and the crew may respond.
Unlike many EFB solutions, there is no heavy integration cost because the integration is achieved by the ACARS Gateway application.
Feeding movement control applications directly from the flight deck becomes pretty easy.
The application uses authentication and encryption methods for ensuring that the message source is valid.
Commuter and small business operators can now benefit from the same functionalities than the ACARS equipped airliners.
